Independence day has invoked different emotions in me as I moved through the years. As a school going kid, I liked the fact that we all gathered on this day with the tri-color pinned to our shirts and sang and talked about it and would be rewarded with candies for just showing up. But as I grew up some how I lost touch of that sense of pride in the independence. After been in the US for so many years and having seen how it is celebrated here and also how people from other countries celebrate their own independence day here, I realised it is one thing we need to cherish with a great sense of pride.

Hope this song helps in re-kindling that spirit.

Have been working on this for the last couple of weeks and still making some changes to the arrangements. Will mix the vocal track as soon as it is ready. The singer who accepted to sing this song is also a blogger and has a great voice and sure will sing his heart out. Will try and upload a teaser tommorrow.
